Whether you take a train, or drive along the Hua Dong Highway into Guang Fu, you'll be sure to be welcome by the beautiful scenery of Hualien. The wetlands located on the bottom of Mt. Ma Si, situated under Mt. Zhong Yang, is surrounded by mountains on three sides. Here is an ecological park, rich in species, especially the plantation of wetland lotus, rendering the name of "lotus kingdom" to this place. Take a ride on the newly paved bicycle trail, feel the cool breeze in your face. A Mei tribe origins on the side of Guang Fu river, here you can get a taste of the A Mei culture, and indulge in the fun of pestling Mochi. Before you leave, don't forget to pay a visit to the Guang Fu Sugar Plant to try out some ice bars, you won't be disappointed!
