Hualien, formerly called Chi Lai, also named Huei Lan. The beautiful moutain and water has long been the desired place for the immigrants. Ever since the Japanese colonization, there's been many Japanese immigrants living here, leaving the streets with a touch of the East; the more recent immigrations of the scholars, left their romance on this piece of land. Within the mountains and the sea, in Hualien, thre are many beautiful scenic spots, such as Nan Bing Park, Bei Bing Park, Song Yuan Bie Guan, Cheng Yuan Yuan and others. The activities people engage in go accordance to Mother Nature, the Harvest Festival of the aborigines and the Bu Yu Festival of the A Mei tribe are the best examples. The humans and nature live and prosper with one another, Hualien happens to be the best model.
